Living Water International and The 10 Days

I had the opportunity in college to be a member of an organization called The Wells Project. The Wells Project is an organization under the umbrella of Living Water International and The 10 Days. 663 million people lack access to clean water, but thanks to organizations like Living Water International that number is shrinking. The 10 Days is a simple idea. For 10 Days, instead of spending your money on beverages like coffee and soda, we choose to drink only water. The money that we would have spent on other beverages is then used to provide clean water to people that don't have it. This organization had an incredible impact on my life and is a worthy cause changing lives across the globe.

RBI Austin

During the Summer of 2016 I had the opportunity to work with RBI Austin as a Marketing and Communications intern. "RBI Austin exists to engage and develop inner-city Austin youth athletically, academically, and spiritually, empowering them to lead the transformation of their communities" (www.rbiaustin.org/about). This organization uses the sports of baseball and softball to transform lives and communities. Two of my favorite things, kids and sports. RBI Austin is doing amazing things within the greater East Austin area and has seen rapid participation growth since the organizations humble beginnings in 2009. This organization is one that will always be near and dear to my heart.

Compassion International

"Compassion International is a child-advocacy ministry that pairs compassionate people with those who are suffering from poverty. The ministry releases children from spiritual, economic, social, and physical poverty. The goal is for each child to become a responsible and fulfilled adult." (www.compassion.com) Compassion currently has over 6,700 International Church Partners and over 1,800,000 sponsored children all over the world. My husband and I sponsor a handful of kiddos through Compassion and it brings us such sweet joy writing letters and corresponding with our kids.
